About the Artist

Carl B. Johnson

Bio:
Carl B. Johnson has been called a “twisted Hopper”, and dubbed “outlaw artist” by friend and renowned poet, walt Christopher stickney. A professional drinker, artist and writer, he has exhibited extensively throughout the United States.

A representational painter, Carl obscures the lines between Abstract Expressionism and Contemporary Impressionism creating a style that is truly unique.

When not painting, he creates sculptural found-object assemblage from salvaged scrap and detritus collected from the desert.
